What we Learned - Week 7

Mike Williams (Sea) - He has become Matt Hasselbeck's favorite target.  In two games post bye week he has been targeted an insane 32 times and caught 21 of those for 210 yards and 1 TD.  Mike Williams should be a good 3rd wideout or flex option in PPR leagues going forward.  In traditional leagues keep in mind that the Seahawks have only scored 6 TD's in 7 games, so he won't be as effective.

Jay Cutler (Chi) - For all you of you who didn't know Jay Cutler is cocky and that seems to get him in trouble.  I think we all in the fantasy community were hoping that he was over this little interception problem of his, but I guess not.  He kept throwing to DeAngelo Hall's side (who intercepted him for an NFL tying record 4 times) and later commented that he would go after Hall again!  This just shows you that Cutler still doesn't get it.  He has one of the strongest arms in the NFL and tries to prove it on every throw by squeezing the ball into too tight of spaces.  The truth is Cutler needs to learn to throw the ball away and not make something happen.  Let's hope that Cutler can stop being thick headed and learn from his horrific game this bye week.

Matthew Stafford (Det) - Detroit Lion fans were devastated to hear of Matthew Stafford's injury in week 1.  Remember there were reports that he might be a sleeper pick this year.  The reports show that Stafford is back to throwing again and should start for this weeks game vs. the Redskins.  If you are an owner of Tony Romo (who is out with a broken collarbone) or Shaun Hill (broken arm) then I would suggest picking Stafford up.   Why?  Let's look at Shaun Hills stats who filled in for him while he was injured.  In the 4 games he started he threw for 1,130 yards and 8 TD's.  That's an average of 282.5 yards per game and 2 TD's!  Now if Stafford was considered a better option before the season, just think how much better those stats could be.

Kenny Britt (Ten) - Kenny Britt is who we thought he was, a very talented receiver on a terrible team.  The truth is he is a good sell high candidate.  Remember this past week he played with the backup and more traditional QB, Kerry Collins.  Next week Kenny will be playing with a wide receivers worst nightmare, Vince Young.  Last year, Young had a supposed break out year where he averaged 156 yards per game.  That's 69 yards less then Britt caught last game alone!  There is virtually no way that Britt will attain numbers anywhere near a number 1 or 2 wide receiver, but you might be able to get that value for him..  If you were lucky enough to have him on your team see what you can get for him and do it before Vince takes back over the QB spot.
